Finclara ("Finclara", "we", "us"), operated by Finclara Private Limited (CIN U68200MR2026PTC478128), respects your privacy and is the Data Fiduciary for personal data processed through finclara.co. This policy explains what we collect, why, your rights, and how to reach us.

1.1 What we collect

• Account data: your email (via one-time-password or Google sign-in) and display name. We use passwordless sign-in — we do not store passwords.
• Enquiry / service data: when you submit an enquiry or request (e.g., to a designer, a loan desk, or a developer), the name, email, phone number, and details you provide.
• Sensitive personal data (only where you choose a relevant service): for the home-loan desk, financial/eligibility details — collected only with your explicit consent.
• Usage data: privacy-friendly, cookieless website analytics (aggregate, not used to identify you), and standard technical logs (IP, device/browser) for security and reliability.

1.2 Why we use it (purposes & lawful basis)

We process personal data, with your consent and for the following legitimate uses, to: create and secure your account; respond to and route your enquiries to the partner you choose; provide the Finclara service and Clara's information features; communicate service messages; and maintain security, prevent fraud, and comply with law. We use your data only for the purpose for which it was given.

1.3 Who we share it with

• Partners you choose to contact (e.g., a designer or loan desk) — only when you initiate that connection.
• Service providers (processors) who help us operate, under data-processing agreements and confidentiality: hosting/database (Supabase — primary data stored in India, Mumbai region), site delivery (Netlify), transactional email (Resend), and payments (Razorpay, once live — Finclara never stores your card details).
• Authorities, where required by law or valid legal process.
• We never sell your personal data.

1.4 Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose collected or as law requires (including a 180-day retention after account cancellation under the IT Rules), then delete or de-identify it.

1.5 Your rights (DPDP Act)

You may: access a summary of your data; correct/complete/update it; request erasure; nominate another person to exercise your rights; withdraw consent at any time; and raise a grievance. To exercise any right, contact our Grievance Officer (Grievance Redressal Policy). We will respond within the timelines required by law (and in any case within 90 days for data-rights requests). You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

1.6 Children

Finclara is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly process the data of children without verifiable parental consent and do not profile or target them. We ask you to affirm your age at sign-up.

1.7 Security

We apply reasonable security safeguards — row-level access controls, encryption in transit, restricted internal access, and vaulting of sensitive contact details — and review them regularly. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of a personal-data breach as required by law.

1.8 Cookies

We use minimal, essential cookies and cookieless analytics. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

1.9 Changes

We will post changes here and, for material changes, give reasonable notice and seek fresh consent where required.
